My Story

As a working mom, I spent years balancing home and work life. Years of formal accounting and business education, a professional career, there was a desire to do something more. Over the years, I taught myself all cake and dessert baking and decorating techniques, researched and experimented a lot, and always strive towards perfection. My family and friends became my taste testers, and with great recipes, a business background, and a passion for quality, I decided to turn this into a cupcake business. In 2013, Double Dee Cupcakes was born!

My customers continue to be gratified and always challenge me. I expanded into custom gluten-free and vegan cakes, theme party cakes, gourmet desserts, and seasonal gourmet pies. The newest line is our Keto desserts! Quality is always in style and I strive for it with every order. New combinations will be tried and tested but only the best will make it to the menu. My customer feedback is important, but the best compliment is the second order.

Inspiration comes from a truly great cook - my Mom - who could make practically anything taste great, and many times without a recipe. Oldies are good but as a new generation we have to make it better by creating our own, or so we think! What is important is to seek the perfect combination that will be true to the flavor intended. In my travels, I research other bakeries and look for creative ideas. Testing different flavor combinations is fun hard work!

As we evolve, so does our name. In 2018, we became Pussycat Cupcakes! The business name has changed but all the great recipes and owner remain the same. This is an opportunity to grow in a more permanent way as we continue to expand. Thank you for supporting local!
